It applies to all activities of the site https://uneviealacampagne.fr: online sale of physical products, order processing, delivery by third-party suppliers, newsletter and audience analysis.

As part of our sales activity, your delivery data (surname, first name, postal address, telephone) are passed directly to our suppliers located abroad, solely for the purpose of shipping your order. These transfers are detailed in Article 7.

Article 6: Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Personal data are collected at different points in your interaction with Une Vie à la Campagne, so that our services can be provided effectively. In accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR, all processing is based on a specific legal basis.

Article 7: Recipients and Processors

Une Vie à la Campagne is the main recipient of your data. In providing its services, some data pass through third-party providers, selected for their reliability and their compliance with data protection regulations.

7.1 — Website hosting

  • o2switch (France) — host of the site, which runs on the WordPress CMS. Data stored in France.
  • WordPress — CMS used to run the site and manage orders (surname, first name, address, email, telephone).

7.2 — Shipping suppliers

As part of our business, orders are shipped directly by our partner suppliers. For this reason, your delivery data (surname, first name, postal address, telephone number) are passed to the supplier responsible for preparing and shipping your order, solely for the purpose of delivery.

  • Shipping suppliers based outside the European Union, in particular in Asia — these suppliers are authorised to use your data solely for the purpose of shipping your order.

7.3 — Online payment

  • Stripe — secure payment provider. Bank details are encrypted and sent directly to Stripe. No bank data are stored by Une Vie à la Campagne. Policy: stripe.com/fr/privacy
  • PayPal — alternative payment provider. Transactions take place directly on the PayPal platform. No bank or credit card information is passed to Une Vie à la Campagne. Policy: paypal.com
  • Klarna (Sweden) — payment in 3 interest-free instalments by bank card. Klarna processes the data needed to assess and monitor the instalment payment. No bank data are stored by Une Vie à la Campagne. Policy: klarna.com

7.4 — Email marketing and automation

  • ConvertKit / Kit (United States) — collects: email, first name, segmentation tags. Used to send newsletters and promotional emails. Transfer outside the EU covered by standard contractual clauses (SCCs). Policy: convertkit.com/privacy
  • Systeme.io (Ireland — ITACWT Limited, subject to Irish law and the GDPR) — collects: email, first name, sales funnel data. The data are hosted with Amazon Web Services in Ireland and remain in the European Union. Policy: systeme.io/fr/privacy-policy

7.5 — Audience measurement and behavioural analysis

  • Google Analytics (United States) — collects browsing data (pages visited, duration, traffic source) for statistical purposes. These data are collected only with your prior consent through the cookie banner. Transfer outside the EU covered by standard contractual clauses (SCCs). Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
  • Microsoft Clarity (United States) — behavioural analysis tool that collects, in anonymised form: time spent on pages, browser used, pages visited, heatmaps and session recordings. These data are collected only with your prior consent through the cookie banner. Policy: privacy.microsoft.com

These tools and providers have their own privacy policies and security measures. We invite you to read them to understand how these third parties handle your data.

Firm commitment: Une Vie à la Campagne undertakes never to disclose, sell or share the data collected without the user’s explicit consent.

Article 8: Data Retention Periods

Data are kept only for as long as is strictly necessary for the purpose for which they were collected:

  • Order and customer relationship data (name, address, email, telephone): duration of the commercial relationship + 3 years from the last active interaction, for customer follow-up purposes.
  • Accounting data and invoices: 10 years from the date of the transaction (legal obligation — Art. L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code).
  • Prospects and newsletter subscribers: 3 years from the last contact or last active interaction.
  • Payment data: Une Vie à la Campagne does not store any bank data. The information is encrypted and sent directly to Stripe, PayPal or Klarna.
  • Browsing data and cookies: 13 months maximum from when they are placed.
  • Proof of consent to the newsletter: 3 years from sign-up.

Where processing is based on the user’s consent, the user may withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

When these periods expire, your data are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

Article 9: Transfers of Data outside the European Union

Some providers used by Une Vie à la Campagne are established outside the European Union, in particular in the United States and in Asia.

Providers involved in a transfer outside the EU:

  • Shipping suppliers (in particular in Asia) — your delivery data (surname, first name, postal address, telephone) are passed to our partner suppliers solely for the purpose of shipping.
  • ConvertKit / Kit (United States) — transfer covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Google Analytics (United States) — transfer covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Microsoft Clarity (United States) — transfer covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Stripe and PayPal (United States) — transfers covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), adopted by the European Commission in July 2023 and confirmed as valid by the EU General Court in September 2025. These providers are self-certified under the DPF. If the legal framework changes, the transfers will instead be covered by SCCs.

Providers with no transfer outside the EU:

  • Klarna — payment provider established in Sweden (European Union).
  • o2switch — French host, data stored in France.
  • Systeme.io — Irish company (ITACWT Limited), data hosted in Ireland, remaining in the European Union.

Article 10: Controller of Personal Data

The controller is responsible for determining the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

The controller undertakes to protect the personal data collected, not to pass them on to third parties without the user having been informed, and to respect the purposes for which the data were collected.

In addition, the controller undertakes to notify the user of any rectification or erasure of data, unless this involves disproportionate formalities, costs and steps.

If the integrity, confidentiality or security of the user’s personal data is compromised, the controller undertakes to inform the user by any means.

Article 11: Users' Rights

In accordance with Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): to find out whether data concerning you are being processed and to obtain a copy.

How to exercise your rights

Any request should be sent to: contact@uneviealacampagne.fr with the subject line “Exercising my rights — personal data”. You will receive a reply within 30 days (which may be extended by a further 60 days for a complex request, in which case you will be notified).

11.1 — Right of access, rectification and erasure
Send an email to contact@uneviealacampagne.fr clearly stating the purpose of your request. Example: “Request to delete my personal data”.

11.2 — Right to data portability
Send your request to contact@uneviealacampagne.fr specifying the data concerned.

11.3 — Right to restriction and right to object
Send your request to contact@uneviealacampagne.fr. The site may refuse only if it can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

11.4 — Minors
In accordance with Article 8 of the GDPR, where processing is based on consent, only minors aged 16 or over may consent to the processing of their data on their own. Une Vie à la Campagne reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, to ensure that it complies with regulatory changes or changes to the processing carried out.
